I love Kuhn Rikon - I got started with their rainbow silicone spatula and also recently ordered their oven-mitts - anyway, I digress. This is a great piece of kitchen equipment. It works well with garlic - that's what I've used it on so far as it just arrived today. Best of all, IT CLEANS LIKE A BREEZE!! I forgot about how the grater part is accessible if you sort of open it up inside out (easier than I'm describing) and was busy picking out little pieces of garlic when all of a sudden I had an "aha" moment...flipped open the grater...and it was easier than pie to clean. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. It also looks to be made of very high quality materials and I expect this to last for a very very long time.
